April 8, 1813, letter to Maj. Gen. Henry Dearborn, commander in chief of the U.S. army, acknowledging his appointment as commander of the York assault and requesting an engineer and the return of Maj. King to his regiment (15th) as a field officer to replace the indisposed Maj. Whitlock. Pike also asks Dearborn to forward his swords and pikes, and a "Box of Rockets."
